It is March 1 and winter is bound to end soon. Shoots of green are coming up from the ground. I just did a hike/trail run at Bays Mountain park and got a meal and a cider at Gypsy Circus - Tennessee's oldest and longest running cidery. It is still somewhat gray, brown and overcast - with some strong winds today.
I'm at the co-working spot in Johnson City, Tennessee on a Saturday after 5pm. Mainly because I have been working from home continuously the past 2 or 3 weeks, and I have to use my membership. So I'm starting off my session by entering this post into my blog which also goes a little underutilized - so I will use this as brainstorming and journaling time.
My next big race (50k) is in a couple of months so I am ramping up my training. In addition to weekly 5k's at the local run club (Cranky's Pump N' Pints), I've been using my treadmill and also getting on the trails. I need to increase my mileage this coming week.
What else is new? I have been using Google AI Studio to test out the free access to large input tokens, my local LLM setup with Ollama and Open Web UI, and have my custom integration to Claude 3.5 through my Recommengine application which ties into Amazon Bedrock. I'm using Cursor for me IDE and have started using Claude 3.7 this week, with mixed results.
Time to hit publish on this one and come up with big goals for this coming week, month, and year. Cheers to a productive and fun year.
Until next time,
Brian
